PRINCE2® Practitioner
Course Duration: 5 days
PRINCE2 2009 is the latest best practice framework from the OGC. It keeps its core values but incorporates improvements based on feedback and acknowledges challenges which are facing today’s projects.
The key improvements to PRINCE2 2009 are, it:
- Integrates with MSP™, M_O_R® ,P3O®
- Links to other methods and bodies of knowledge
- Gives guidance on tailoring for smaller projects
- Is less prescriptive and is more flexible
- Highlights the importance of the “soft aspects” of PM
- The manual is smaller
- Offers more guidance and less instruction
- Is less theoretical and more practical
Who Should Attend
This course is intended for delegates who are familiar with the PRINCE2 project management method. It provides revision of the method and gives guidance and practice in preparing for the PRINCE2 Practitioner's examination administered by the Association of Project Managers Group (APMG).
Pre-requisites
Delegates should have some familiarity with projects and ideally Project Management tools and techniques, such as those covered in the Quanta Principles of Project Management course.

Foundation exam

Practitioner exam
The PRINCE2 Practitioner exam is in the "Objective Testing" format, consisting of 9 questions which are to be completed in 2.5 hours. The exam is open book although it is only the PRINCE2 manual that is allowed
Pre-course work
15 hours of pre-course preparation work is required, along with some evening work during the course.
