PRINCE2® Training

PRINCE2 is the world-wide de facto standard for project management. Originally developed by the UK government, it is now widely used in both the public and private sector, all around the world. The standard embodies an established and proven best practice for managing projects. By undertaking our training, this will guide you through the essential steps for running a successful project, assisting you to understand that it can be used for all types of projects due to its flexible approach.

PRINCE2 Environment

The PRINCE2 method is a generic best practice tool that can be tailored to your organisation. Following the training, you will understand how the standard provides the controlled environment for managing projects working from a project's controlled start to its controlled close. PRINCE2 is an exam-based qualification composed of two levels: Foundation and Practitioner.

The PRINCE2 Foundation course will focus on equipping the delegate with a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2 methodology including the seven principles, seven processes and seven themes central to running a project using this method. The successful completion of the Foundation Exam will give the delegate a recognised Foundation qualification. This course is delivered using accelerated learning techniques which create fun, interactive and interesting training environments. We provide pre-course materials and activities to enable delegates to prepare themselves for the course so that they can take full advantage of the trainer's knowledge and guidance.

The PRINCE2 Combined Foundation and Practitioner course reiterates the information introduced with the Foundation course, and gives delegates a sound understanding of the PRINCE2 project management methodology allowing them to become familiar with the processes, components and techniques involved in PRINCE2.

What are the benefits of PRINCE2 Training?

  • Promotes consistency of project work and the ability to reuse project assets (by facilitating staff mobility it also reduces the impact of personnel changes/handovers).
  • Is an invaluable diagnostic tool, assisting the security and appraisal of project work, troubleshooting and audits.
  • Plans are carefully designed to meet the needs of the different levels in the management team, improving communication and control.
  • Ensures that participants focus on the viability of the project in relation to its Business Case objectives - rather than simply seeing the completion of the project as an end in itself.
  • Defines a thorough but economic structure of reports.
  • Ensures that stakeholders (including sponsors and resource providers) are properly represented in planning and decision making.

Private on-site courses are provided by Purple Griffon as an affiliate of Quanta.
Public scheduled courses are delivered by Datrix.
