ISO/IEC 20000™ Training

ISO/IEC 20000 is the first international standard for IT service management. It defines best practice for the delivery of managed services to meet the needs of an organisation and its customers. Originally developed to reflect best practice guidance contained within the ITIL framework, ISO20000 equally supports other IT Service Management frameworks including Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) and COBIT. The requirements in part 1 of ISO/IEC 20000 include the design, transition, delivery and improvement of services that fulfil service requirements and provide value for both the customer and the service provider. This requires an integrated process approach when the service provider plans, establishes, implements, operates, monitors, reviews, maintains and improves a service management system (SMS).

ISO20000 ITIL Interelation

The co-ordinated integration and implementation of a service management system provides on-going control and opportunities for continual improvement, delivering greater effectiveness and efficiency. The operation of processes as specified in ISO/IEC 20000 requires personnel to be well organised and co-ordinated. Appropriate tools can be used to enable the processes to be effective and efficient. The most effective service providers consider the impact on the SMS through all stages of the service lifecycle, from strategy through design, transition and operation, including continual service improvement. Purple Griffon offers the opportunity to accomplish an industry standard qualification and to help their organisation achieve compliance and best practice within the ISO20000 standard.
