Steve Lawless - Director
Steve Lawless, one of the founding partners of Purple Griffon, is a highly experienced Service Management Trainer/Consultant, with over 27 years experience gained within a variety of IT roles. His knowledge spans Operations Management, Project Management, Application and Technical Infrastructure Management and Support. For the last 12 years Steve has worked specifically in Service Management. Steve has worked for a variety of organisations, both large and small, across private and public sectors. This has given Steve a rich variety of experience within the IT industry. A healthy balance of training and consultancy assignments allow Steve to retain up to date knowledge and hands-on experience, also allowing him to bring a 'real world' experience to his training courses.
Ken McGunigle - Director
Ken McGunigle is one of the founding partners of Purple Griffon. Over the past 32 years Ken has worked in a variety of IT Consultancy roles for a number of well known organisations in the Finance and Mobile Telephony sector. As a result, this has given Ken 'first hand' experience of how the ITIL framework has benefited these organisations, plus how any challenges/issues can be approached in a number of different ways. Ken is a highly experienced Service Management Trainer/Consultant and his knowledge spans various roles within Operations and Technical Support. For the last 14 years Ken has worked in a variety of Service Management roles, specialising in Transition.
Lesley Wilkinson - Head of Business Development
Lesley spent several years as Sales Manager for Purple Griffon before being made Head of Business Development in January 2011, with responsibility for both the Sales and Marketing functions. She comes from a strong training background with HE and FE teaching experience, and was a founding member of the team that established 'learndirect', the e-learning organisation, across Cumbria. Along with the other members of the Sales Team, she would be happy to discuss your training and consultancy requirements.
Bob Amies - Service Management Trainer & Consultant
Bob joins us with a proven track record in IT Service Management, a strong customer service approach and a successful background of ITIL training and consultancy. He is known for his common sense approach, and has extensive ITIL-based incident, problem & change management experience. During his time with a major bank in London, he was involved in several disaster recovery scenarios, acting as a liaison between technical teams and senior management. Bob is based in Essex and delivers many of our London courses - his very high pass rates mean he is much sought after by our regular customers.
Mike Shellard - Service Management Trainer & Consultant
Mike is a dedicated and enthusiastic IT Service Management lecturer. Based in Hampshire, Mike delivers many of the London based courses and covers the entire spectrum of classes.
Mike is also an consultant with specialist skills in the provision of IT Services Continuity and Business Continuity planning as well as the implementation of processes and procedures mainly in the Service Support arena. Mike has been involved in a number of successful implementations and Service Improvement Programmes engaging with a number of public sector companies across the UK and Northern Ireland.
Mark Lunn - Technical Development Manager
Mark comes from a background of technical support and customer service having worked for ntl:home and Freeserve broadband. Mark now works full time making sure the Purple Griffon website is in order and also looks after the E-marketing including SEO and PPC campaigns and all of the servers.
Wendy Alston - Senior Account Manager
Wendy is a highly experienced Account Manager having worked in sales for almost 30 years. She has sold Prince2 and ITIL for over 10 years and manages some of our largest customers in both the Corporate & Public sector. With exceptional communication & sales skills, Wendy is a valuable asset to our Sales Team.
Sarah Golding - Senior Account Manager
Sarah is a key member of the Sales Team, dealing in the main with our brokers and managed services providers. Before joining Purple Griffon, Sarah handled new business development for a regional IT support firm and she brings this understanding of the market place to her current role at Purple Griffon. Valued for her ‘can do’ approach and pleasant manner she is well-respected by both customers and colleagues alike.
Michelle Allen - Account Manager
Michelle has a strong sales and admin background having spent many years as Sales Manager at BT and more recently working in project management and training for Homebase covering the North West. Michelle brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience to the sales team.
Kelly Croskell - Account Manager
Kelly works as an Account Manager for Purple Griffon and has gained the ITIL Foundation qualification since joining us. Having previously worked in sales, she managed a busy showroom before becoming part of our team. Kelly is an IT desktop professional, a skill much appreciated by the rest of her colleagues in the sales office.
Debbie Patten - Account Manager
Debbie has worked for Purple Griffon for a number of years and is very successful in sourcing training for the many large accounts she manages. Coming from a solid sales and marketing background, Debbie has superb customer service skills and since graduating from University has added a CIM qualification to her experience.
Nigel Crowdy - Resource Manager
Nigel joined PG in May 2010 after a career in retail banking. Responsible for all aspects of course management.
Sarah Smith - Finance Manager
Sarah has recently joined the Purple Griffon team as our Finance Manager. She has a strong background in finance and accounting having begun her working career in her family's accountancy firm. Sarah is qualified to AAT Intermediate level and has over 20 years experience working in accounts both in the private sector and in the legal profession
